Event Submission Guidelines
Laurelite welcomes event submissions from the community.
Our goal is to help residents of Laurel and Jones County discover things worth doing each week.
Submitting an event does not guarantee it will be included.
What We Look For
Events should generally be:
- open to the public
- located in Laurel or nearby areas
- relevant to the local community
Examples include:
- live music
- festivals
- community events
- art shows
- markets
- family events
- classes or workshops
What We Typically Do Not Include
We may decline events that are:
- purely commercial promotions
- private events
- recurring business sales
- unrelated to the local area
- incomplete or unclear
Submission Review
Event submissions may be screened using automated tools and manual review.
We reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity or length.
Tips for Better Submissions
Please include:
- event name
- date and time
- location
- brief description
- ticket information (if applicable)
- link for more details
